His many performances throughout the United States have included the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Donnell Library Series, Steinway Hall, Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center, St. Paul's Chapel- Trinity Church concert series and at Town Hall. He is also a frequent soloist in New York under the auspices of Mu Phi Epsilon International Alumni Fraternity. After one of his New York appearances one critic said, "under Verona's hands, the 'unplayable' was played beautifully. . . [his "Appassionata'] soared and roared. . ." Mr. Verona has been heard on radio and television stations in Washington D.C., in New York City on WQXR, Chicago, Milwaukee, Salt Lake City, as well as on the VARA radio station in Amsterdam and RAI for Italian television and radio in Italy and in the United States.

Mr. Verona belongs to the roster of pianists who carry on the legacy and tradition of the Russian school of piano playing established in this country by the legendary pianists and teachers, Rosinna and Josef Lhevinne. He is sought after today for his interpretations of Spanish music, particularly the Iberia Suite of Isaac Albčniz but he is equally at home performing all styles of piano music from Bach and Scarlatti to Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Liszt, Chopin and Schoenberg.

His studies in piano began with Naomi Zaslav and chamber music with the Fine Arts Quartet at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. In 1977, Mr. Verona received a degree from the G.B. Martini Conservatory in Bologna, Italy. During his years in Europe, Mr. Verona studied in Paris with the renowned pedagogue Nadia Boulanger, as well as with Sergio Perticaroli in Rome and Salzburg. Mr. Verona worked with Josef Raieff at the Juilliard School where he completed studies for a Master Degree in Piano. Under the tutelage of John Browning and Constance Keene, Mr. Verona received a Doctorate in Piano from the Manhattan School of Music in 1991. He also had close associations in master class settings with Rosalyn Turek, Shura Cherkassky and Andre Watts.

In addition to performing, Mr. Verona teaches privately in New York and has been on the piano faculty of the Brooklyn College Preparatory Center for the Performing Arts since 1990. As Treasurer of the New York City Alumni Chapter of the International Music Fraternity Mu Phi Epsilon, he is directly involved with presenting young artists in recital on their annual series at Tenri Cultural Institute in Greenwich Village as well as awarding annual scholarships to talented musicians throughout the New York City Metropolitan Area..
